Yes. Japan Local Food Guide works entirely offline. All dish data, images, and your saved favorites/photos are stored locally on your device — no internet connection is required after installation.
No. We do not collect any personal information, and we don’t know who you are. Your favorites, purchase status, and any photos you save are saved only on this device, using local storage — they are never sent anywhere. To understand which parts of the app are useful, we use Google Analytics for Firebase to record anonymous usage events (e.g. which dish pages are opened), along with general device information (e.g. device model and OS version) and approximate location (country or city level). This is not linked to your identity, is never used for advertising or tracking across other apps or websites, and does not use your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA).
Open any dish's detail page and scroll to the "My Photos" section. Tap the "+" icon on an empty slot to add a photo from your camera roll. You can save up to 3 photos per dish.
